Snow Day - HMNS

We went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science for their Snow Day today. Grandma went with us and we met Kennedy's friend Hannah and her mom. The kids had lots of fun, but we've had enough snow for a while. We're all ready for lake weather again!

Here is a video of the snow that a coworker took from our office this morning. The video doesn't do it justice though - it was really coming down hard...but don't you love the palm trees in the background?!! (and yes, that is what I have to look at while I'm working every day)

Snow Day!!!

It snowed ALL day long today. It started around 8 this morning and didn't stop until around 6ish. My office closed at 2 so I got the kids and brought one of Kennedy's friends, Hannah, all home to play some. They had a blast. A week ago I bought tickets to HMNS snow day - so we get to do it all again tomorrow!

Boat Barn Progress

It's blue because it was sold as overstock and saved lots of money. It's huge - you could fit a cessna in it! But we'll stick with the boats (and lots of other stuff from the garage).

Soccer Season Ends

We made it through our first season of soccer. The kids had a lot of fun but I think they're ready to try something different. Cooper wants to take Karate and Kennedy wants to take "ballerina." Anyway, the team went to Berryhill's to receive their trophies and medals after the game.

Halloween is officially over

finally! The school carnival was yesterday. And it was a blast - ferris wheel, train ride, face painting, balloon making, pizza, hot dogs, and on and on and on...can't wait for the Christmas party!!!

The Cutest Cowgirl and Cowboy this side of the Mississippi

This Halloween is going to last several days! Yesterday the school had their Halloween party. They didn't dress up for that. Today, they were supposed to have a carnival but it got postponed due to bad weather (which then it turned out to be nice, but oh well). They got to wear costumes anyway. Tomorrow is Halloween and trick or treating. And Tuesday they will dress again for the carnival. I guess I should be happy because we bought Kennedy the pink boots she's showing off for her Cowgirl costume and at least now she'll get lots of use out of them!

Old MacDonald Field Trip

The kids had a field trip today and had a blast!

Pumpkin Carving Homework and Baxter

Kennedy's homework tonight was to carve a jack-o-lantern--they love to make silly faces. Tomorrow we'll bake and eat the seeds. (The picture of Baxter was too cute not to share.)

Bat's at Waugh Bridge

Kennedy's homework one night this week was to go see the bats (they're studying nocturnal animals). We weren't able to do it on the assigned night but got to tonight with our cousins. Pictures didn't really come out but everyone thought it was pretty cool.

First Soccer Practice Videos

First Soccer Practice

We had our very first soccer practice on Wednesday. The kids had a lot of fun after finally focusing (and not coming back for snacks). We're supposed to have a practice this Saturday and first game is next Saturday. GO DRAGONS!

Cooper's evening

Cooper got to pick any dinner he wanted (corndogs at JCI) and go to the park (one we've never been to before)...He got in on the pictures too.

Chad took Kennedy to her first theater performance - Grease (TUTS). She dressed up like a Pink Lady.

Grandparents Day

Today was grandparents day at school and so Grandma and Grandpa came and had lunch and did some fun activities with Kennedy (Cooper's class did something different). These are a few pictures Grandpa took.

Lake for Labor Day

These pictures are from yesterday (Sunday). Grandpa didn't feel well so Grandma went with us. Kennedy rode on the innertube! She said it was the funnest thing EVER! She loved it. We took a break at a little island where some bigger kids had started a sand castle. We went again today (Monday) and Grandma and Grandpa joined us, but no pictures. Kennedy is doing great on the tube though.

Last day of swimming lessons

They had to practically push Cooper to go down the slide every time (look at his face going down), but he would get right back in line to do it again. Kennedy is much more adventurous - no one had to ask her twice!
