Easy Bake Oven

Kennedy got some money for her bday and then she got this gift card from one of her classmates, so she wanted to go pick out a toy today. We went to Target, and she finally decided on an Easy Bake Oven. We had a ton of fun making some cakes and cookies. I took a picture of her first cake. And, in case you ever need to know - they don't come with the light bulb! How stupid is that. I can kind of understand batteries not included, but a lightbulb for an Easy Bake Oven..! Come on! We went to Krogers to get it, and she picked out some Mickey Mouse sprinkles to add to the cake. I had to watch her close because she wanted to spoon out the cake batter and icing before it was baked. And Cooper got a really good deal out of it. He woke up and it was ready - he didn't have to cook or wait for it! I remember it seemed like those ovens took 8 times longer than a real oven even though it was an eighth the size or even less of a real cake. But this cake only took 12 mintues. The cookie took a little longer though.

Accident

For those of you who haven't heard, Chad was in an accident Thursday evening. He was with two friends riding in a Uhaul when the Uhaul went over the HOV wall at West Road and landed on the freeway below. This first picture you can just see the truck on its side and all of the cars going around. Miraculously, they did not hit any other car and everyone survived with fairly minor injuries. Chad is a little beat up, but nothing is broken. Along with his other friend. The driver has more injuries and is still in the hospital, probably awaiting surgery. He has a broken wrist and crushed knee, but nothing life threatening. Everyone is very thankful right now.
Some of the contents of the truck spilled out the top as they were lifting it up. Who knows what everything looks like inside.
